AppMakr’s CES Booth
CES is a crazy show, with almost 2 million square feet of exhibit space over a four-day conference in Las Vegas, NV.
Although it’s focused mostly on new hardware and electronics, apps have increasingly become an integral part of the “electronic appliance” landscape, starting to show up in TVs, refrigerators and other devices.
For this reason, we decided to have a booth at CES this year. To entice the steady stream of curious passers-by to engage with us, we created an interactive photo booth where people could take their photo with an oversized Windows Phone. It was a huge hit — you can see the resulting Flickr and Facebook photo streams from the booth.
The booth was also great for us and our brand. We got to engage with existing and prospective users of all sizes, from multi-national companies to small bloggers. We had multiple people tell us that our booth was the best part of their CES experience. Maybe they were just flattering us, but we’ll take the kudos!
