Energized for Socialize: From Passive to Interactive

In just two months, Thom Barr made over $1,000 and saw over 35,000 downloads of his apps. Not bad when you consider how inexpensive AppMakr is.

Barr, the force behind the Xbox Insider Plus app, is yet another app creator jazzed for Socialize. “I’m most curious about where it will go!” he said. “The possibilities of it are endless: thousands of apps will have it built in and everyone will be using it to voice their opinion.”

It’s a similar story to what we’ve heard before: Socialize seems to be the missing piece in the mobile app experience today. Apps will become a more interactive and social space.

“Socialize will bring my apps to life,” Barr added. “Previously they’ve been passive experiences that the user just loaded up, read the content and closed. Now users will be able to share their opinions, see what other people are viewing and liking, and have a real presence within the app.”
