Featured AppMakr App: RacerX App from Racer X Online

Calling all motocross and supercross fans…Bryan Stealey, President of Filter Publications, Inc., has shrunk his world-renowned Racer X Online site into a free iPhone and iPod touch app, using the AppMakr service. It features everything from YouTube footage, podcasts, breaking news stories, weekly features, a real-time Twitter feed that’s updated nearly to-the-minute, exclusive photo galleries after every major race, and the push notification feature, so fans can be alerted when something “big” happens.

To date the Racer X app has gotten great feedback according to Bryan.

“Our app has a 4-Star rating in the AppStore and we have over 7,500 downloads, hoping to be on 20k phones by the end of the summer.” He added, “Our fans now have the ability to more easily follow big events in real-time, from the actual events, which is good for them and helps in our grassroots marketing efforts.”
